Overview
Chat Image (shown in the app as Chat Image) is a chat-first tool for creating new images with AI. You stay in a normal conversation: describe what you want, refine it over several messages, and the assistant responds with generated pictures in the thread—so you can “seamlessly generate and craft a diverse array of images without ever leaving your chat environment.”
This is not the feature for “upload a photo and ask what’s in it.” For analyzing existing images or documents, use Vision AI or AI File Chat (see those help articles).
Why it matters: You can brainstorm visuals, iterate on style or subject, and keep a short history of ideas in one place—without switching to a separate image generator screen.
How It Works
When you send a message, the system uses your recent chat history and your latest message to decide what to draw next. It turns that into an image prompt, runs the image model, saves the result, and shows it in the chat as the assistant’s reply.
Open Chat Image
From the dashboard, open Chat Image under AI features. You’ll see the chat layout: conversation list and main message area.
Describe what you want
Type a message with subject, mood, colours, style, or composition. Send it like any chat message.
Receive a generated image
The app returns a new AI-generated image in the thread. You can open it in the gallery/lightbox where the UI allows.
Refine in chat
Send follow-ups (“warmer colours”, “more minimal”, “same idea but portrait orientation”). Later turns can build on earlier ones because recent history is considered for the next image.
Using Chat Image
- Conversations: Use the sidebar to switch threads or start a new chat when you want a different creative direction.
- What you get back: The main “answer” from the assistant is usually a generated image, not a long text explanation.
- Attachments in the composer: If the chat UI lets you add images to a message, they can help steer the next generation. That is still part of the create-from-chat flow, not the same as uploading a file for Vision AI analysis.
- Output files: Generated images are stored like other AI outputs (e.g. under your uploads / media, depending on site settings). Exact location may vary by hosting and S3 configuration.
Credits & Access
Each generation uses image credits from your plan. There may also be daily limits. If you are out of credits or hit a limit, you will see an error instead of a new picture.
Depending on configuration, Chat Image may require a premium plan. If you are blocked with a premium message, upgrade your subscription or contact support.

Creates new images from your conversation. Primary output is AI-generated artwork or visuals.

Best Practices
Describe the scene
Name the subject, setting, mood, and what the image is for (e.g. social post, email header). Specific beats “make something nice.”
Style and brand
Call out colours, flat vs realistic, minimalist vs detailed, and anything that should feel on-brand for your brokerage.
Framing and layout
Ask for portrait, landscape, or square, and say if you need clear space for a headline or logo.
Reference attachments
When the chat lets you attach images, say how they should influence the next generation (colours, composition, “similar vibe”).
Mind your credits
Each new image typically consumes image credits (and may count toward daily limits). Check Plans & Pricing before a long creative session.
Refine in the thread
Short follow-ups—“warmer tones,” “less busy,” “more corporate”—often work better than one enormous prompt.

Common Questions
Is Chat Image the same as uploading a photo for the AI to “read”?
No. Chat Image is for generating new images from your conversation. To analyse what is already in a picture, use Vision AI (or relevant file tools—see AI File Chat for documents).
What do I get back from a message?
Usually a new generated image in the thread. The model may use recent messages (and optional attachments, if the UI allows) to steer the next picture—not to replace Vision-style Q&A about a static upload.
How do credits and limits work?
Generations use image credits and may be capped per day. If you are blocked, check Plans & Pricing or upgrade if your plan requires premium access for Chat Image.
Are my chats and generated images private?
Your sessions and outputs are handled like other AI features in your account. Treat prompts and references as you would any business data; follow your compliance rules for client-facing use.
